I am a ConTact C.A.R.E practitioner and Chiropractor. I have always had a strong drive to explore the boundaries of what's possible in terms of healing. I believe in natural healing, and I am committed to finding and treating the cause of a problem.
My journey in healthcare started when I began studying to become a medical doctor right out of high school. After the first year I was uninspired to continue and decided to change to chiropractic after its philosophy of natural healing caught my attention. Seeing that people can be helped without drugs and surgery was a breath of fresh air.
After five years of study at university and then practicing chiropractic for four years. I became aware of ConTact C.A.R.E - Flinchlock release. Like most people, I had never heard of the practice, but events were unmistakably guiding me to it. I signed up for a ConTact C.A.R.E course in early 2016, and it made so much sense and came so naturally to me that I knew within the first hour that it would become my primary modality. After that first course, I never really practiced chiropractic again because my patients were having such profound healing responses.
When I began using Flinchlock release, I noticed that my clients spines began to adjust themselves without me applying any manual adjustments or manipulations. Not only did the spine adjust itself, but the body held itself better than ever before. I realised that the body (in its entirety) compensates for past impacts that are still held in the body. Like they say, “The body keeps the score,” and it turns out that bone contain a huge piece of the puzzle. The body already has all the intelligence to heal and thrive. We just need to find out what's in the way of its potential and Flinchlocks are a big one.
In June 2017, I set off on a journey of healing discovery with my new brand "The Travelling Healer," which represented the realisation of my dream to study with healers from around the world and integrate what I learn into my own healing practice. I also had the intention of sharing ConTact C.A.R.E everywhere I went. This journey began with a four-week visit to John of God in Abadiania, Brazil. I travelled for 5 months in Brazil and Peru before I was in a motor vehicle accident. This freak accident put an end to my journey after I sustained a decent concussion head injury and didn't have the memory or energy to keep going. I knew I had to go back to New Zealand to heal myself.
My recovery from the concussion head injury was a long and tough one. I don't know what I would have done without ConTact C.A.R.E as it is what got me back to functionality and being "normal" again. I already knew that ConTact C.A.R.E could help with concussion I just didn't expect to experience it firsthand! Although overcoming the concussion was extremely difficult, it came with many blessings and opened me up to a period of the biggest personal development in my life.
Through my personal experiences and client transformations, sharing ConTact C.A.R.E Flinchlock Release with people has now become one of my main priorities along with vitalistic healing principles.
My personal belief is that something can always be done, it's never too late and your never too far gone to be helped.
Why Jamie went to ConTact CARE from Chiropractic
Immediately after Jamie found ConTact Care he began an experiment to see how effective it was. At the beginning of his treatments he checked his clients spine and recorded the findings. Using only ConTact Care, he treated the client and immediately afterwards he went back and rechecked the spine. He was amazed to find that every single time the spine had adjusted itself, even though he had not touched the spine during the treatment.
Jamie discovered that the body (and the spine) is capable of adjusting itself without manipulation.
"The alignment of the spine will compensate for the underlying traumas that remain trapped in the body. Unless that is released, the spine and the body will continue to align itself this way." - Jamie
